Chromebook doesn’t have enough functionality in place to prevent this from happening. Avast has anti-tracking and anti-phishing tools in place to ensure that no one spies on you or steals your information. When you’re surfing the internet, the last thing you want is for a harmful site to infect your browser and spy on your activity. Since the operating system checks for malicious content by default, there are only a few features that are beneficial with Avast for Chromebook. ![]() ![]() Since I'm not on line I don't know why I needĪvastBrowser running but I cannot find any place to stop it.While the antivirus software had loads of functions and tools, not all of them apply to these devices. When they appear in the TM the PC and database repair slows down noticably. Go and I'll have from 4 to 10 lines of this at a time that appear to be running and using Turned off all Avast shields in Avast and it is still adding these lines. It is running dreadfully slow and Avast has one AvastUI.exeĪnd keeps adding lines of the AvastBrowser.exe *32 file to my Task Manager (TM). ![]() I am trying to to do a database repair on a game that is on my PC, totally off line, notĬonnected to the internet. Avast Secure Browser apparently was installed 17Apr19 according to my Control Version installed 10Apr19 as a replacement for another Avast version that hadĮxpired. FYI: Here is the issue I was having that I blamed on the browser. I'll post if that did not solve the issue. I downloaded and ran the browser uninstaller. ![]()
